Q: What ages are BabyGains products designed for? A: Our core range is designed for children aged 1-8. Most products are best suited for ages 2-6, with some items (like the wall ball) better for ages 3-8. Always supervise children during use.
Q: Are the products safe? A: Yes. All BabyGains products are made from FSC-certified European beechwood with non-toxic finishes. There are no small parts, no sharp edges, and no toxic materials. Products have been tested to EU and US toy safety standards.
Q: How heavy are the products? A: Intentionally light. The barbell weighs approximately 1 lb, the kettlebell 0.8 lb, and dumbbells 0.3 lb each. Heavy enough to feel "real" to a child, light enough for safe overhead movements.
Q: Will kids actually use these, or are they just novelty items? A: Our data shows that children who receive BabyGains equipment use it an average of 4-5 times per week for the first three months, and 2-3 times per week ongoing. The key factor: if they see their parents training, they'll use their equipment consistently.
Gym-Specific Questions
Q: How much space do I need for a family zone? A: Minimum 80 square feet (8x10). Recommended: 150 square feet (10x15). See Chapter 4 for detailed space planning.
Q: Will this affect my insurance? A: Most commercial gym insurance policies can add kids zone coverage for $50-150/month. Contact your provider before setup. We can provide documentation of our product safety certifications to support your application.
Q: What if non-parent members complain about kids in the gym? A: In our experience, this is rare — especially when the kids zone is well-managed and kids stay in their designated area. Frame it positively: "We're growing our community." Most members appreciate a gym that serves families.

Q: Can I charge extra for the kids zone? A: We don't recommend it. The value of the kids zone comes from retention and attraction of family members paying full membership fees. Making the kids zone free (included with membership) removes friction and maximizes usage.
